Amy Lademann, co-founder of Beyond Motion, will be hosting their annual "THINK PINK NIA" event on Saturday, November 6th 9:30-10:30 to raise money for the Susan G. Komen Foundation SWFL chapter.

"I remember seeing a sign in the Denver International Airport that read, ŕ out of every 2 women will develop breast cancer, will it be you or your mother?" and I knew that I had to do something. This event is about sharing my passion for movement and to help people to come together in a fun, energetic way for support and awareness. It's important for everyone to know that breast cancer doesn't have to be a death sentence."- Amy Lademann

This is the 3rd year Amy will host THINK PINK NIA, and the first year for the event to be held at the Beyond Motion fitness studio.Beyond Motion's annual "THINK PINK NIA" event is actually a high energy, low-impact Nia class. The Nia Technique is cardio dance class that leads to health, wellness, and a love for fitness. People are drawn to Nia because it allows them to workout in an intelligent, yet playful way, by connecting their body to their mind and their spirit.

Nia (pronounced nee-uh)draws from disciplines of the martial arts, dance arts, and healing arts. Every class offers a unique combination of 52 moves that correspond with the main areas of the body: the base, the core, and the upper extremities. Classes are traditionally danced barefoot to increase balance and coordination, and the fun, energetic music comes from artists throughout the world. Stiff beginners and highly fit athletes alike can adapt Nia to meet their needs by choosing from three intensity levels.

While the Nia technique (www.nianow.com) has been around for more than 20 years, Amy brought Nia to Naples 6 years ago. "I love sharing this program with people. Having danced Nia since 1997, I've heard a myriad of success stories from people of all ages and fitness levels. From weight loss and increased energy, to developing better body awareness, to increased range of motion and better balance. There is something for everyone in Nia.

"THINK PINK NIA" is on Saturday, November 6th. Registration starts at 9:00 and class runs from 9:30-10:30. This is a donation based class. All checks may be payable to Susan G. Komen for the Cure South West Florida. Everyone is welcome!

Testimonials
Larry Walker, who's 6-3 & weighs 233, reduced his body fat from 17-18% to 11-12% by working out daily with strength and speed specialist Rick Lademann. Lademann designed Walker's program specifically to enhance his baseball skills. The difference in Walker was evident from the start of spring training.
