Pilates is a body conditioning routine that seeks to build flexibility, strength, endurance, and coordination without adding muscle bulk. In addition, Pilates increases circulation and helps to sculpt the body and strengthen the body's "core" or "powerhouse" (torso).
Professional dancers have used Pilates for decades to keep their bodies strong, flexible and able to perform. Top athletes use it for strength, flexibility, and injury prevention. Hollywood celebrities and supermodels use it to maintain beautiful physiques. You can use Pilates to create your ultimate body; enhance your strength; increase your flexibility; and develop your best posture. Benefits include:
Builds strength without "bulking up"
Increases flexibility and agility
Develops optimal core control
Create an evenly conditioned body and prevent sports injuries
Creates flat abdominals, slender thighs and a strong back
I wanted to let you know that I had Juliana on August 1, 2008 and the delivery could not have gone easier. My water broke at 4 am and I arrived at the hospital at 5:30am and had her 7:38am. Everything happened so quickly, that there was no time for an epidural. Doing Pilates and Yoga before, and during my pregnancy helped to keep both my pregnancy and delivery easy. Thanks again for your help, and guidance!- Annette K. Orlando, FL
